Arlington, Texas is hoping to become a destination hot spot
Globe Life Field, the Texas Rangers' new baseball stadium, is expected to help make Arlington a new destination spot in North Texas and billions of dollars have been spent on the stadium and other projects to draw in the crowds.
The stadium, a new hotel named Live! by Loews, and a massive entertainment complex called Texas Live! are all part of a development project to reinvent the area, reported Texas Monthly. Texas Live! will host fights, concerts and will have plenty of activities for families such as bowling and Skee-Ball. There are a slew of eateries owned by well-known people such as Guy Fieri and Troy Aikman.
The $5 billion investment to recreate Arlington is a huge investment with $2 billion spent on the Texas Rangers' new stadium. With the Cowboys, Rangers and Six Flags now in Arlington, development officials are hoping the new complex will entice visitors to book a hotel room and even attend a concert or take in a fight at Texas Live!
