BURLESON: Grateful for all of our residents and businesses who have helped to flatten the curve of COVID-19

Community 1000

Burleson issued the following announcement on April 10

We are grateful for all of our residents and businesses who have helped to flatten the curve of COVID-19 by following social distancing requirements. We understand that some people may need assistance when visiting stores due to health-related concerns. To help people that may need assistance, the city is now providing an exemption letter that people can show at stores and other locations. To receive an exemption letter, call the city’s coronavirus hotline at 682-312-2780. The hotline is available from 9 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday. You will not be required to provide confidential medical information. Simply state that you need assistance when shopping and provide your name, email, and home address. A city representative will then provide you with the letter.

Just a reminder, the city has provided an extensive list of resources at our coronavirus resource website. These include the Texas Health Resources Coronavirus hotline, with nurses available 24/7 (682-236-7601), the Texas COVID-19 Mental Support Line, which is available for people dealing with anxiety, stress, or emotional challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic (833-986-1919), and the Child Help hotline for help with parenting challenges due to COVID-19 (1-800-422-4453).
