Northeast Campus Tarrant County College issued the following announcement on May 14
“Stopping the Spread: Re-Engaging Your Business While Keeping Your Workplace Safe” is a free, 90-minute virtual presentation providing comprehensive, OSHA- and CDC-sanctioned guidelines to ensure businesses of all sizes and across all industries understand and follow appropriate public safety practices to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
WHY:
According to the article, “Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19,” the Occupational Safety and Health Act “requires employers to comply with safety and health standards and regulations promulgated by OSHA or by a state with an OSHA-approved state plan. In addition, the Act’s General Duty Clause, Section 5(a)(1), requires employers to provide their employees with a workplace free from recognized hazards likely to cause death or serious physical harm.”
This free presentation covers best practices from OSHA and the CDC to help ensure businesses – and their employees and customers/clients – remain safe.
