City of Euless recently issued the following announcement.
Starting June 1, the City will reopen lobby areas to the public with physical distancing requirements. We will have hand sanitizing stations complete with gloves and masks that will be available for visitors. We are also planning to open the Fitness Center on a modified schedule with reduced occupancy through a reservation system. The Senior Center, Recreation Center, Natatorium, Park rental facilities, Parks at Texas Star and Library will remain closed. The Library will continue to provide curbside and book locker service.
The Aquatic Park will also remain closed for the season. I understand this will be a great disappointment to many of you; however, the Governor has not yet released water parks to open and given the lengthy process of hiring and training seasonal staff, coupled with the difficulty of maintaining safety and distancing protocols in a water park, we have made the decision to cancel this season. Summer camps have also been cancelled for those same reasons.
The Parks and Community Services Department and Library have continued to provide some wonderful virtual programming on their social media channels. Texas Star Golf Course is open again and our beautiful parks are in bloom right now. I appreciate the wonderful spirit of our Euless community with everyone doing your part to help us reopen Texas safely.
