Tarrant County College issued the following announcement on July 16

Underscoring its longstanding commitment to serving the community, TCC plans to start offering courses in August at three off-campus instructional sites in Keller and Fort Worth to increase college opportunities for dual-enrollment students in Tarrant County.

TCC recently received Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) approval to provide students attending Keller ISD’s Center for Advanced Learning and Fort Worth ISD’s Dunbar High School and Trimble Tech High School additional courses so they can earn college credit for academic courses and foreign languages.

Additionally, students at Dunbar High School will have the opportunity to earn a workforce certification.

“During their junior and senior years, Dunbar High School students are able to take dual credit courses in the Aviation Maintenance Technician Program (AMT) at Tarrant County College,” said Demesia Razo, director of workforce programs at TCC’s Erma Johnson Hadley Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation and Logistics (CEATL). “Students in the AMT dual credit program are able to begin coursework to become certified airframe and power plant mechanics through TCC’s FAA Part 147 program.”

Interested students are encouraged to connect with their high school counselor to learn more about eligibility requirements.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Birdville, Keller and Northwest ISDs sent students to TCC for Airframe and Powerplant training. TCC currently has an estimated 70 school partnerships with Tarrant County ISDs and charter schools, ranging from dual enrollment to early college high schools.
