Some students who are transferring from Tarrant County College to the University of North Texas can now receive a scholarship.

The latest UNT Transfer Excellence Scholarship offers TCC students from $1,500 to $4,000 per year. The amount received is based on the student's cumulative transfer GPA.

The Summit Award provides $4,000 for students with a 3.75-4.0 GPA, the Triumph Award provides $3,000 for students with 3.5-3.75 GPA, and the Impact Award provides $1,500 for students with a 3.0-3.49 GPA. TCC students with an associate degree in the arts or an associate degree in science with a 3.0 transfer GPA or higher will qualify for $500 as an added bonus.

All applicants are required to meet UNT admission standards.
